Das innovative Projekt ist das Ergebnis eines intensiven Wissensaustauschs zwischen Experten von BMW, TYDE und Designworks, einer Tochtergesellschaft der BMW Group mit Studios in Los Angeles, M\u00fcnchen und Shanghai. <\/p>\n<p>Die Konstruktion des Konzepts wurde dem Bootshersteller TYDE anvertraut, und der leistungsstarke Elektroantrieb wird von Hochspannungsbatterien von BMW i gespeist. Das luxuri\u00f6se Seefahrererlebnis wird von einem exklusiven Soundtrack begleitet, der von dem preisgekr\u00f6nten Filmkomponisten und h\u00e4ufigen BMW-Kollegen Hans Zimmer komponiert wurde.<\/p>\n<p>THE ICON setzt mit einem batterieelektrischen Antriebssystem neue Ma\u00dfst\u00e4be in seinem Segment. Bislang war die Elektromobilit\u00e4t auf dem Wasser auf kleinere, langsamere Boote mit vergleichsweise geringer Reichweite beschr\u00e4nkt, w\u00e4hrend das Segment der schnelleren Boote mit gr\u00f6\u00dferer Reichweite von Modellen mit Verbrennungsmotor dominiert wird. THE ICON definiert dieses Verh\u00e4ltnis zwischen den Abmessungen, der H\u00f6chstgeschwindigkeit und der Reichweite eines elektrisch angetriebenen Wasserfahrzeugs neu.<\/p>\n<p>Erm\u00f6glicht wird dies durch eine Innovation aus dem Segelsport: Hydrofoils. Diese fortschrittliche Rumpfform reduziert den Energiebedarf um bis zu 80 Prozent im Vergleich zu einer herk\u00f6mmlichen Konstruktion. Die Foiling-Technologie - bei der das Boot auf Fl\u00fcgeln unterhalb des Wasserspiegels f\u00e4hrt, w\u00e4hrend der Rumpf \u00fcber der Wasseroberfl\u00e4che schwimmt - sorgt zudem f\u00fcr einen h\u00f6heren Fahrkomfort und h\u00f6here Geschwindigkeiten.<\/p>\n<p>Zwei 100-kW-Elektromotoren wandeln 240 kWh Energie, die von sechs Batterien von BMW i geliefert wird, in eine Reichweite von mehr als 50 Seemeilen (ca. 100 km) um. Das Boot erreicht eine Betriebsgeschwindigkeit von 24 Knoten, die H\u00f6chstgeschwindigkeit betr\u00e4gt 30 Knoten. In Kombination mit seinem innovativen Antriebssystem und der Foiling-Technologie ist THE ICON nahezu ger\u00e4uschlos, ohne unangenehme Vibrationen oder Ersch\u00fctterungen und mit minimaler Heckwelle.<\/p>\n<p>Passagiere, die ein anderes Klangerlebnis suchen, k\u00f6nnen sich an das bordeigene Dolby Atmos-System wenden, das eine hervorragende Klangqualit\u00e4t im gesamten Schiff bietet. Bei der Entwicklung des Soundkonzepts setzte BMW auf den zweifachen Oscar-Preistr\u00e4ger Hans Zimmer. Der Hollywood-Komponist l\u00e4utet mit dem Sound des Antriebssystems und den gewollten Funktionst\u00f6nen eine neue \u00c4ra des Reisevergn\u00fcgens auf dem Wasser ein.<\/p>\n<p>Das Designteam hatte die Aufgabe, das einzigartige Konzept von THE ICON in ein Erlebnis zu \u00fcbersetzen - von der ersten visuellen Wirkung von au\u00dfen bis zum Blick aus dem Inneren.  Der Grundriss mit seiner prismenartigen, transparenten Architektur erm\u00f6glicht eine Breite von 14,7 Fu\u00df im hinteren Bereich, was einen sehr ger\u00e4umigen Lounge-Eingang erm\u00f6glicht. Der Rumpf selbst zeichnet sich durch eine leichte Origami-Struktur aus, die ein besonders sanftes Reiseerlebnis erm\u00f6glicht. Dar\u00fcber hinaus k\u00f6nnen die Passagiere durch gro\u00dfe Glasfl\u00e4chen den Blick direkt auf das Wasser genie\u00dfen, akzentuiert durch die ikonischen LED-Lichtleisten am Bug und Heck sowie die Ladeanschl\u00fcsse im gesamten Schiff.<\/p>\n<p>Die schr\u00e4gen Glast\u00fcren des Wasserfahrzeugs \u00f6ffnen sich zu einem Lounge-Bereich mit kunstvoll gestalteten M\u00f6beln auf einem luxuri\u00f6sen Teppich, der einen Kaleidoskopeffekt erzeugt. Der aus Metallteilen konstruierte Rumpf des Wasserfahrzeugs reflektiert das Sonnenlicht auf dem Boden wie Wellen auf dem Meer. Im Mittelpunkt des Nutzungserlebnisses stehen die um 360\u00b0 drehbaren Sitze. Die wichtigsten Funktionen, darunter ein leicht zu erreichendes Tablet-basiertes Infotainment-System, sind in Reichweite angeordnet. Mit einer einfachen Drehung k\u00f6nnen die Sitze neu positioniert werden, um soziale Interaktion zu f\u00f6rdern, was THE ICON zu einem perfekten Treffpunkt macht, der sich in jedem Hafen zu Hause f\u00fchlt.<\/p>\n<p>Die Kommandostation des Bootes befindet sich zentral auf dem Deck und verf\u00fcgt \u00fcber ein Schiffssteuerrad und Instrumente im authentischen BMW Design. Anstelle der traditionellen nautischen Instrumente bietet das BMW Interface eine neue Interpretation, bei der alle wesentlichen Funktionen in einer digitalen Steuereinheit enthalten sind. Die Interaktion zwischen Mensch und Maschine erfolgt \u00fcber ein 32-Zoll-Touchscreen-Display mit 6k-Aufl\u00f6sung, dessen Aussehen und Haptik an das BMW iDrive Steuerungs-\/Bedienungssystem erinnert. In Verbindung mit dem BMW Operating System 8 er\u00f6ffnet diese Technologie eine neue Dimension der Informationsvisualisierung und digitalen Interaktion. \u00dcber Sprachbefehle lassen sich wichtige Funktionen wie Reichweiteninformationen und Wetterberichte abrufen.<\/p>\n<p>Bei dem in Cannes erstmals vorgestellten Wasserfahrzeug handelt es sich nicht nur um eine Designstudie, sondern um ein serienreifes Fahrzeug, das sowohl f\u00fcr die private als auch f\u00fcr die gewerbliche Nutzung wegweisende Technologien bietet.
