Focusing on \u201cNext-gen Now,\u201d the opening keynote presentations will explore today\u2019s next-generation aerospace innovation through advanced technology. The four aerospace thought leaders will update the industry on modern automated, electrified, and connected vehicles and systems; the rapid development of new platforms, systems and materials; and the next steps to bring cutting-edge, forward-thinking vehicles and systems to full deployment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The 2020 AeroTech keynote speakers are:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u2022 Roei Ganzarski, CEO at magniX. Ganzarski leads magniX in developing powerful and efficient electric propulsion solutions for commercial aerospace and defense with a vision of connecting communities with low-cost, clean air transportation. Prior to magniX, Ganzarski was CEO of BoldIQ, a global provider of dynamic real-time scheduling optimization software and Chief Customer Officer for Boeing\u2019s Flight Services division.<\/li>\n<li>\u2022 Mark Moore, Director of Elevate Strategy at Uber. Led by Moore, Uber\u2019s Vehicle Engineering team has developed eVTOL common reference models (eCRMs) based on Elevate vehicle requirements. Prior to joining Uber, Moore worked at NASA for more than 32 years, focusing on conceptual design studies of advanced aircraft concepts.<\/li>\n<li>\u2022 Chris Eoyang, Vice President of Business Development &amp; Global Projects at BOOM. Before venturing into aerospace, Eoyang was a partner\/managing director and Chief Emerging Markets Strategist at Goldman Sachs, based in Tokyo, Hong Kong and Singapore. In 2016, Eoyang was invited to kickstart BOOM&#8217;s global sales effort, resulting in an investment and partnership with Japan Airlines as well as deepening relationships with the world&#8217;s major airlines.<\/li>\n<li>\u2022 Dale Tutt, Vice President Aerospace &amp; Defense at Siemens Digital Industries. Tutt is responsible for defining Siemens Digital Industries Software\u2019s overall aerospace and defense industry strategy, driving specific industry requirements into software products and solutions, and leading the definition of industry specific market solutions for aerospace and defense customers. He has more than 30 years of experience in engineering design, development and program leadership within the aerospace industry.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cSouthern California is the epicenter of the aerospace technical community, as the state boasts the highest employment levels for aerospace engineers. AeroTech offers a program that focuses on the challenges impacting these aerospace engineers, both now and in the future, while also targeting tomorrow\u2019s engineering leaders with such content as SAE\u2019s inaugural AeroConnect Challenge event,\u201d said Dave Weil, director of engineering events at SAE International. \u201cWe are also bringing a diverse roster of keynote speakers to lead engaging and insightful conversations that can inspire the advancement of the next generation of aerospace innovation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Throughout the conference, attendees will be able to connect with industry-leading engineering professionals, executives, regulators and researchers, as well as engage in technical sessions, lively panel discussions and tours of Northrop Grunman\u2019s Space Park and Composite Center of Excellence. Also at AeroTech, SAE will hold the inaugural <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sae.org\/attend\/student-events\/aeroconnect-challenge\">AeroConnect Challenge<\/a>\u2122, a hands-on competition that tasks university teams to develop a deployable unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) system to aid in supporting wildfire fighting missions in California.<\/p>\n<p>AeroTech will include a diverse set of panel discussions, including Women in Engineering and Emerging Technologies, Aviation Cybersecurity, U.S. Air Force New Energy, and Urban Air Mobility\u2014Flying Cars &amp; Air Taxis, among others.
