Therefore, the development and operation of vertiports for the UAM operations are anticipated to emerge as crucial elements in various urban planning and development in the future.<\/p>\n<p>Considering the diverse approaches to urban development, GS E&amp;C designed three distinct types of urban air mobility vertiports, Retrofit, New-Build, and Modular. Each design is tailored to meet specific spatial constraints and functional requirements, showcasing GS E&amp;C\u2019s commitment to delivering innovative solutions that seamlessly integrate into diverse urban environments.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Retrofit Type \u2013 Integrating the vertiport into existing urban infrastructure, facilities, or sites, while maintaining their original functions.<\/li>\n<li>New-Build Type \u2013 Incorporating a vertiport into the upper levels of newly constructed buildings within various urban development projects.<\/li>\n<li>Modular Type \u2013 Facilitating rapid assembly of vertiport on-site in urban environment using standard-sized base unit modules, pre-fabricated in a factory.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>GS E&amp;C is now participating in \u2018K-UAM Grand Challenge (GC)\u2019, large-scale demonstration program led by the Korean Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transportation (MOLIT) along with LG U+, Kakao Mobility, and Vertical Aerospace as a consortium called \u2018UAM Future Team\u2019.\u00a0As part of the GC1 phase, the demonstration flights of the UAM Future Team are planned for 2024 4Q.<\/p>\n<p>A GS E&amp;C spokesperson said;\u00a0<em>\u201cVertiports, along with aircraft and traffic management, are essential areas for creating the UAM ecosystem. Therefore, we aim to secure expertise and competitiveness in the UAM market as a vertiport total solution and service provider to lead future UAM infrastructure busines<\/em>s.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWith
