Endast ett kort funktionstest (shakedown) p\u00e5 fredagen den 17 januari f\u00f6reg\u00e5r den enda dagen med tr\u00e4ning, kvalificering och race. I kvalet delas f\u00f6rarna in i fyra grupper om sex, baserat p\u00e5 st\u00e4llningen i f\u00f6rarm\u00e4sterskapet. Lotterer ligger f\u00f6r n\u00e4rvarande p\u00e5 sj\u00e4tte plats i po\u00e4ngligan och startar d\u00e4rf\u00f6r i grupp ett medan hans Porsche-teamkamrat Neel Jani (Schweiz) ligger p\u00e5 21:a plats och kvalificerar sig i grupp fyra.
